Pipo Range
Pipo Range measures distance to a target using a high-performance Time-of-Flight sensor (alike LIDAR).
You can use it like a table theremin with your hands for expressive control (up to approx 0.75 cm), or as a proximity sensor for installations or performances with people or objects (up to ~2.5–3m). It offers fast and accurate detection with a good resistance to ambient light.
Pipo Range can be used as a MIDI controller over BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) or USB, or can send its data over WiFi in OSC format. The field of view is approx 25 degrees.
Compatibility:
Because Pipo communicates through OSC or Midi, it is compatible with most audio(visual) software, and does not require any drivers. For eg: Touchdesigner, Ableton Live, Isadora, Max, MadMapper, Bespoke, Pure Data, VCV Rack, and many more...
User reported Midi BLE to pair successfully with Teenage Engineering synths.
/!\ Using Midi BLE with Windows is possible but requires to install a free app with additional latency.
OSC: Pipo Wifi can be connected directly to your computer, or connect through your any WiFi router (2.4Ghz)
